The Closed Alpha is a community-driven gaming event that initiates the fundamental community of The Backwoods.
The event is gated by an access code, which will be distributed via Twitter, Discord event, community collaboration, and in-person invitation.

A player can generate access codes to invite friends to join the game and earn referral points. They can then earn 20% of points their invitees earned, and 10% of points their invitees' invitees earned.

The leaderboard is broken into 2 parts: Main and High Scores.
Main Leaderboard is ranked by points. A player earns points by playing the game and inviting others to play.
By starting a new game, a player will earn 5 points. Each 5 waves cleared will grant the player additional 5 points. Clearing all 30 waves and winning the game will grant the player addtional 5 points.
A Genesis User can generate access codes to invite friends to join the game and earn referral points. They can then earn 20% of points their invitees earned, and 10% of points their invitees' invitees earned.
At the end of the pre-mint campagin, top players on the leaderboard will be rewarded.
High Scores Leaderboard is reset daily (UTC) and tracks the highest in-game score players have achieved during a game. The top player will be given Genesis User status while the top 2-5 players will be given WL (or OG if already WL'd) status.
